In this project, I researched the topic of adulthood, young people being scared of all the responsibilities that await them in the real world. The aim was to create an infographic that would visually describe the journey and needed steps to smoothly transform from a teenager to a grown-up. The style that I chose is an illustrated collage that playfully shows the steps of becoming an adult. The collage was inspired by the production systems in a factory, using industrial elements to create a feel of the manufacturing process.
This project was one of the first small briefs, created to support students in finding topics and subjects they were interested in and use their research about their main projects to reflect on them and decide whether or not they would like to change their ideas.
Even though my final ideas and outcomes turned out to be completely different from what I was researching and working on at the start of the year, this process encouraged me to jump into working on something and see where that would take me.
