The meaning of the Self-care kit project is to spread more information about taking care of oneself and used as a tool to practise some of the exercises that can become a healthy routine for people who want to see the benefit of taking care of their mental state.
In today's busy world it's important to not only take care of the physical health but also reflect on what's happening in our minds as that is the main aspect of our emotions, decision making, habits, equally affecting our health.
What I wanted to achieve with this project is a playful and creative version of the traditional journaling method. After researching all the various techniques of how to have a peaceful mind, be more optimistic, adventurous, courageous and limit negative feelings through understanding and dealing with them, I decided to create a set of tools that can be used for personal growth.

Body, mind and soul are all combined within us and deserve to be taken care of, equally. The gratitude journal is one of the things included in the Self-care kit, that can improve the way we perceive our life, notice the smallest things we take for granted, as well as understanding challenges and hard times as a gift in disguise, a needed lesson rather than a burden. All that is needed is perseverance, a pen that works and a 5 minutes a day to scribble down whatever is in your mind.
The meaning behind the set of postcards called - Letters for my future self are meant to help people with improving their skill of loving oneself and developing healthy confidence. The aim is to write a letter where you can show support towards your future self, believe in your dreams and be appreciative towards yourself for making it so far already. You can tell your future self what great things you've done so far and why it's a great foundation to have a great future. These letters can be stored and revisited over time, whenever you need a bit of support or feel let down. It's a great way to develop a strong sense of a healthy self-value.
